    **********
    PUPA ARMS

This name is well known as one of the most talented, upcoming and spiritually motivated African conscious reggae artists of the present. Born in Gambia/ West Africa. He was raised in the ghettos of Brikama which is known for its talented musician and reggae scene. As a juvenile, he used to be around people like Perry B from Lion Heart Sound, who has been his musical influences at that time. Pupa Arms soon started singing and DJing with his friends on private sessions in the neighbourhoods and improved his skills. In the early 90’s he moved to Hamburg (Germany) and continued working on his passion: REGGAE MUSIC!

In 1995 he found the RAINBOW SOUNDSYSTEM with Selecta Laye, after they’d met at a party in “Grosse Freiheit 36” in Hamburg. Rainbow Soundsystem started playing in different locations and at different dances and became quickly a part of Hamburgs Dancehall & Reggae scene. It doesn’t took them long for being invited to uplift the massive at several events and in different cities like Bremen, Hannover, Berlin, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, to mention some.

While being a DJ of the sound, Pupa Arms developed his unique chanting style to deliver the people with Jah Message. This gave him more inspiration to write his own lyrics and produce more conscious tunes.

After spending some time in London/Brixton in 2001, he made a trip two years later to Jamaica to meet Caveman and Selector Iniman (from the legendary Caveman Sound) and Sizzla Kalonji at the Judgement Yard. On his second trip in 2005/2006 he spent almost a half of a year. There he found mental inspiration and stock up on some spiritual energy to build up his musical career as a real fire warrior, praising the most high, Jah Rastafarai!

By giving a constant volcanic temperature with words, powers and sounds, he convinced the people very fast and let them feel his message. His name stands for consciousness, truth, spirituality, strength, rastalivity and chanting.

Born in 1986 he very soon found his mission in the sweet sounds of reggae & dancehall music. Inspired by traditional Gambian and Jamaican artists he started to develop his unique style of chanting and singing and very soon beacame famous all over the country of Gambia.

He recorded his first major hit-single: "Take it slow", wich hit the radiostations nationwide like a storm and still is played by many stations, at the age of 20. This was the kickoff for his career and his popularity very soon began to rise so that the next hit-single called: "Can´t run away" launched the streets.

"This song is about where I´m from and it´s my hope that everyone who hears this track feels like I have brought him my to world.

I can not tell you about everyone because each person has a different understanding. We must try to build up the world with Peace, Love and Harmony. And we must begin today and not tomorrow!"
